Bethesda has released a second patch for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which fixes many bugs, including some issues with Nvidia’s , image generation, path tracing, and HDR. AMD and Intel graphics card owners are still looking for the empty treasure , as this patch does not bring FSR and XeSS.

Bug fixes for gameplay, quests, and graphics

With this patch, problems with disk space disappearing or corrupted disk space reports, even if there were no problems, should be a thing of the past. Other gameplay bugs fixed include issues with Indy’s whip being equipped, a permanently equipped , and an issue where players could lose the camera if it was quickly equipped. Bethesda promises that stuttering in cutscenes has been reduced and that a double vision of a near-drowning Indiana Jones should no longer occur. However, some players have to trigger this “near-drowning” again to get rid of the issue.

In terms of gameplay, there have been various bug fixes with the NPC named Gina blocking game progression in certain situations. Details can be found in the changelogs; due to potential spoilers, this will not be explained in more detail here.

A whole range reserved for PC players

For owners of the PC version, several bug fixes have occurred in relation to Nvidia DLSS. Performance issues with DLSS have reportedly been resolved. Frame generation (FG) should also now be enabled correctly when HDR is used and Nvidia Reflex should no longer cause performance issues with FG. However, there is still a known issue, when frame generation is active and HDR is enabled for the first time, then Nvidia’s frame generation is disabled. According to Bethesda, as a workaround, DLSS should be disabled once and then re-enabled. Players with medium or high level path tracing enabled might experience excessive lighting indoors. Prior to this patch, several players who were using with too small a VRAM were experiencing no global illumination.

No RR FSR, XeSS or DLSS

As was missed in the Indiana Jones and Great Circle test for full ray tracing, there is also no Nvidia DLSS ray rebuild with the second update. There is also no change in the absence of FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) or XeSS. Owners of graphics cards who do not come from the Green Side must therefore continue to do without upscaling technology and place their hopes in the third patch, as long as the recommendation to use dynamic resolution to obtain more FPS remains.

Xbox patch and something for streamers

On the Xbox Series, the patch brings improvements with global lighting; some areas were mistakenly displayed too bright, they now appear significantly darker. There is also good news for streamers. According to Bethesda, anyone who has experienced issues with OBS Studio and game crashes should upgrade to version 31.0.0. update.
