This constellation did not exist yet: Acer presents a gaming monitor with 5120 × 2880 pixels and 144 Hz, which can be switched to 2560 × 1440 pixels with 288 Hz in dual mode and also supports G-Sync Pulsar. The Predator XB323QX with these features will not appear until the third quarter.

5K UHD+ for the first time for gamers

The resolution of 5120 × 2880 pixels in 16:9 aspect ratio, also called “5K UHD+”, is rarely found and was until now reserved for desktop monitors that only operate at 60 Hz. The Acer Predator XB323QX is the first true gaming monitor with this resolution and natively offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time (GtG) of 0.5 ms.

If you prefer more Hertz instead of more pixels, you can upgrade to 2560 × 1440 with 288 Hz. Acer talks about dynamic frequency and resolution (DFR), but the term dual mode is more commonly used for such a feature.

With a diagonal of 31.5 inches, the pixel density is approximately 186 ppi. The pixels are therefore larger than in the mentioned office models, as they offer a resolution of 27 inches with 218 ppi.

IPS with “real” 10 bits

The screen used is an IPS panel with a so-called “10-bit true color depth”, as well as 95% DCI-P3 and 99% sRGB. The contrast ratio is 1000:1 and the brightness is 350 cd/m². The connections are one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1. The stand offers height adjustment and can be replaced if necessary thanks to the mount. Two speakers with a nominal power of 2 watts are integrated.

Another special feature is support for Nvidia G-Sync Pulsar, which allows the simultaneous use of G-Sync and Black Frame Insertion (BFI) to minimize motion blur. ‘s new G-Sync scaler will likely be used for the Acer Predator

Pricing and availability

Acer has not yet provided pricing information for the Predator XB323QX, which is only expected to be available in the third quarter of 2025.

Techconseil received information about this item from Acer under NDA. The only requirement was the earliest possible publication date.
