The manufacturer PocketBook, known for its e-book readers, is presenting three digital photo frames with the InkPoster series at CES 2025, which are displayed on colorful e-paper displays. In terms of size, three models between 13.3 and 31.5 inches are presented. Prices range from $600 to $2,400.
Electronic paper art in 3 formats
The advantages of e-paper panels have been known at least since the advent of many e-book readers. While the display was previously monochrome, color readers have recently been added, such as the PocketBook Era Color (test).
With the InkPoster photo frames, PocketBook is now presenting them as decorative wall art. It starts with three models in different sizes. In addition to a small 13.3-inch version, 28.5-inch and 31.5-inch models are also available.
While the InkPoster 13.3 and 31.5 models rely on an E-Ink Spectra 6 panel, the 28.5″ version also features Sharp IGZO technology. This combination is intended to produce a better image thanks to the special backplane and, in particular, to ensure better image updating.

Battery-powered for each slot
All three models rely on a built-in battery that, according to PocketBook, should last up to a year. The manufacturer particularly emphasizes that the InkPoster does not consume any electricity when displaying static images and should not exhibit any blue light or heat emissions.
Application with well-known masterpieces
InkPosters have Bluetooth and WiFi for uploading images. The frames are managed via a specially developed application (InkPoster App). Besides contemporary art and posters, art lovers also have access to many well-known masterpieces. It is also possible to present your own photos or works of art. In this regard, it is not mentioned whether image changes or slideshows can also be set.
Digital framing has its price
Regardless of the usage fees for the artistic masterpieces, which are certainly factored into the final price, the new PocketBook InkPosters come at premium prices. The small version costs around $600. The almost 94 cm wide 31.5″ model costs around $1,700. The 28.5″ InkPoster is the most expensive variant thanks to IGZO technology and is intended to beautify walls for around $2,400 – well that not specifically mentioned in the presentation, prices should be before taxes. Sales should start in summer 2025.
