Cooler Master is introducing a new series of CPU air coolers at . The design and nomenclature of the series – it ranges from V4 to V10 – are based on car engine blocks. This is not the first time that Cooler Master has used such a design. But the new generation implements it even more clearly.

Heat pipes instead of cylinders

There will be a total of four V-series models. All coolers are equipped with two 120mm ARGB fans in push-pull configuration, and a plastic cover plate gives the appearance of the motor. This also contains ARGB lighting, which further highlights the “engine block”.

The nomenclature indicates the number of heat pipes that the respective cooler has. Cooler Master talks about a patented “3D Heat Pipe” (3DHP) technology that places an additional heat pipe directly above the CPU hotspot and thus dissipates waste heat even more efficiently.

V10 3DHP: The flagship product

The flagship of the series is the V10 3DHP, which Cooler Master has equipped with ten 6mm thick heat pipes. According to the press release, this is a dual-tower design, but judging by the images, the two towers are placed closer together so that no additional fans can fit. insert between them. The V10 3DHP should be able to dissipate up to 340 W and is therefore also aimed at overclockers.

V8 3DHP: also double tower

The next smaller model, the V8 3DHP, is also a dual-tower cooler that, as the name suggests, has eight heat pipes, two fewer than the top model. The dimensions of the V8 3DHP have also shrunk slightly compared to its big brother and therefore have less cooling surface.

V6 and V4 3DHP: Single-tower

The smaller V6 3DHP and V4 3DHP models are designed as single towers and, unsurprisingly, have six and four heat pipes respectively. There is also a V-Lite version of each, in which the cover plate is designed to be flat and is therefore more reminiscent of modern engine covers. The V-Lite coolers still have ARGB elements on the lid, but fans have to do without the colored lighting.

Homage to the old days

If the design concept associated with the name Cooler Master sounds familiar to you, you are not mistaken: the Taiwanese already had a “V8” in its range in 2008, which was also tested by Techastuce at the time. The visually impressive cooler was also mentioned in the article from 2023. A year after the release of the then V8, there was even a cooler with a Peltier element in the incredibly large V10.

Availability and price

According to Cooler Master, the V-Series CPU coolers will be available from March. Prices have not been announced at the moment.
