Razer is introducing Project Arielle, the first gaming chair with a built-in heated and cooled seat, at . The mesh gaming chair is based on the Razer Fujin Pro mesh gaming chair and incorporates a bladeless fan system for cooling or heating.

2 to 5 degrees cooler

The integrated bladeless fan system is designed to provide even, continuous airflow to the entire body while remaining quiet. The ventilation system is located at the base of the chair. Cool or warm air is distributed around the player via outlets located in the backrest.

In order to be able to individually adjust the cooling intensity, the concept chair three adjustable fan speeds. Project Arielle’s airflow can reduce perceived temperature by 2°C to 5°C in dry environments, Razer says.

Hot air heating up to 30°C

Additionally, the gaming chair, which is still stated as a concept without a launch date, is equipped with a built-in heating system that uses energy-saving PTC heating elements that provide warm air up to 30° Celsius, so players you don’t need to freeze even in winter.

Touch operation and quick release

Razer uses a touch control panel for controls to adjust temperature settings. As with other products like the Razer Freyja, Razer secures the electrical connection needed for the chair’s functions with a quick release system so that the connection is disconnected before the cable or chair is damaged. The Razer Freyja is a force feedback seat cushion for retrofitting gaming chairs, which was also presented as a project at CES 2024 a year ago, but has since hit the market with slight adjustments and without RGB. In its current form, the Arielle project also features RGB stripes around the seat and back.

Launch and prices uncertain

As with all of Razer’s “project” announcements, it’s still entirely unclear whether the Project Arielle gaming chair will actually go on sale or what changes will be made before it launches. Customer reviews are also relevant in this regard. The final cost of the heated and cooled chair is therefore also uncertain.

Techtip received information about this report from Razer under NDA. The only requirement was the earliest possible release date.
