Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed for a second time. In addition to the release initially scheduled for November 2024, the release of Ubisoft’s assassin game in February 2025 cannot take place. The fourteenth installment of Ubisoft’s open-world action-adventure was originally scheduled to release on November 15, 2024, approximately two years after the last main game. But at the end of September, it had already been announced that this release date could not be respected and that players and fans of the series would have to wait until February 2025. Those who had pre-ordered were refunded a few months ago.
Now there is one more bad news for everyone who was looking forward to a new journey as an assassin to historical places. Marc-Alexis Coté, programmer and level designer at Ubisoft Quebec, announced it on the official website The reasoning is quite similar to that of September 2024. In short: Ubisoft and the developers need more time to put the final touches on the game.
Assassin’s Creed: Shadows will be released on PC on Steam, Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X.
