Rebel Wolves, the developers of The Blood of Dawnwalker, only showed a few seconds of gameplay in the livestream that many were waiting for. The cinematic trailer, meanwhile, shows a scene two years before the actual start of the game. It introduces the main character Coen and the vampires.
Some details about the world
It was emphasized several times during the live broadcast on the official Twitch channel that The Blood of the Dawnwalker should only be the beginning of an entire saga or series of games. Like The Witcher 3, in which many members of the Rebel Wolves worked or played key roles, it is a role-playing game set in a medieval fantasy world of the Carpathian region.
In the middle of Eastern Europe, in the 14th century, people fight not only against the plague and numerous bloody conflicts among themselves, but also against supernatural monsters and vampires who take advantage of the opportunity. Emerging from the vampire shadows is a main theme of the cinematic trailer. Even more unnatural creatures emerge in the vampires’ wake.
Coen is the main actor
In this world, the player is Coen. A young man who transformed into what we call Dawnwalker. At first, he runs away from the local ruler with his sister Lunka. He wants to kill Lunka, infected with the plague, to contain the epidemic. But the group encounters a few vampires who kill the pursuers and heal Lunka – but not without something in return.
In the later gameplay, the player should be able to use different abilities from the ranks of humans and vampires. Dawnwalkers are a hybrid of humans and vampires who only look like humans during the day and transform into vampires after dusk without being real vampires.
According to the developers, there should be no division between main and side quests in the gameplay, but rather the game should give the player more freedom to shape their own story and approach.

Outlook – no release date yet
The developers have not yet revealed a release date in the live stream. For now, players can only wait patiently for more information. The developers of Rebel Wolves want to show more gameplay this summer. So it will be about five to eight months before we can see more than a few seconds of gameplay teasers.
