Smartphone: the Oppo Find N5 would be the thinnest foldable 21 comments

Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer at OPPO and Founder of OnePlus, confirmed the Oppo Find N5 on X and announced that it will be the thinnest foldable on the market. The foldable smartphone is expected to be officially announced in February. It is not yet clear whether it will also appear in Germany.
Oppo Find N5: Nur 8mm bite?
Pete Lau also posted a photo on Previous Find N5 rumors suggest that Oppo could have reduced the camera bump, similar to that of the OnePlus 13. Unconfirmed rumors give the Oppo Find N5 a thick approximately 8mm when folded, while both sides are said to be approximately 4mm thick when unfolded.
Honor and Xiaomi are in the lead so far
The two thinnest foldables on the market today come from Honor and Xiaomi. The Honor Magic V3 is only 9.2mm thick when closed and the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is only slightly thicker at 9.47mm thick when closed.
The Huawei Mate Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 (test) is significantly thicker at 12.1mm when closed and 5.6mm when open and is also undercut by the Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold at 10.5 and 5.1mm.
The tri-foldable Huawei Mate XT (Hands-On) can be unfolded twice, with the two thin sides only 3.6mm thick. When folded, it is 12.8mm thick.
In Germany like OnePlus Open 2?
It is unclear if and when the Oppo Find N5 will arrive in Europe. Rumors were also circulating that it could arrive in the European market under the name OnePlus Open 2 and not under the Oppo brand. It is unclear whether these plans have changed further after Oppo’s re-entry into the German market with the Find X8 Pro (test).
