Mid-range smartphones: Huawei nova 13 and 13 Pro available from 549 euros 11 comments

It had been clear for a few weeks that Huawei’s nova 13 series would arrive in Germany, but the prices had not yet been disclosed. The Huawei nova 13 and Huawei nova 13 Pro smartphones are now available in Germany from 549 euros.
Cheaper mid-range smartphones
The Huawei nova 13 Pro is available in Germany in green and black with 512 GB of internal flash memory for 699 euros. At launch, buyers who purchase between January 17 and February 16 will also receive a free Nova 13 Pro case, a 100-watt fast charging adapter, the Huawei FreeBuds 5, and a 12-month extended warranty.
The Huawei nova 13, for its part, is available in black and white at the recommended retail price of 549 euros. In Germany this is only available with 256 GB of flash memory. Other internationally available storage variants are not offered in this country for either model.

nova 13 with 60 megapixel selfie camera
The Huawei nova 13 offers a 6.7-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2,412 × 1,084 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The cameras, which can’t quite keep up with models like the Huawei Mate 70 Pro or the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra (review), include a 60-megapixel selfie camera and a 50-megapixel main camera with an ultra-wide-angle camera of 8 megapixels available. The nova 13’s battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and can be charged at up to 100 watts via USB-C.

The cheapest model has a Kirin 8000
The processor is an eight-core Kirin 8000. The 2023 SoC has one large Taishan core, three medium Taishan cores, and four Cortex-A510s. The ARM Mali-G610 MC3 serves as the GPU. The operating system used is EMUI 14.2, based on Android ASOP 12.
nova 13 Pro with better screen and better SoC
The nova 13 Pro stands out in particular with the more powerful processor – the Kirin 9200S -, the LTPO screen with adaptive refresh rate and the optimized camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) with two sensors and a third telephoto lens . Additionally, the aperture of the main camera is variable from f/1.4 to f/4.0. The resolution of the 6.76-inch OLED display is also higher at 2776 × 1224 pixels. As mentioned, the nova 13 Pro also offers twice the main memory with 512 GB.
