The eBlaztr is a suitcase-sized case that is intended to be a better alternative to laptops. For LAN parties and mobile use, it is possible to install not only a PC with “gaming-size” ITX components, but also a standard 24-inch monitor that fits into the same case.

The , a Danish start-up, describes the eBlaztr as a “portable gaming computer”. The portable case should be easy to take with you, for example to friends’ houses or to LAN parties. To achieve this, the entire setup is essentially bundled into one case: a monitor at the front and a PC in Mini-ITX format at the back.

The eBlaztr can then be positioned on the table at the desired height on extendable feet and is ready for use: the monitor and computer are powered from outside via a single power cable. A total of four USB ports, two of which are in the old 2.0 standard, and a combined HD audio slot

These components are suitable

The eBlaztr can accommodate a maximum of one monitor with a diagonal of 24.5″. The prerequisite is that the model has threads for a 100 mount and that the connections point downwards.

Further restrictions apply to the Mini-ITX computer. The CPU cooler can be 55 millimeters high, water is not supported – the case has no active ventilation, the CPU and GPU independently supply themselves with air directly from the outside via the perforated grille on the back. Flat coolers in the Top-Blow version are therefore required. This significantly limits the choice, especially with regard to the cooling capacity and thus the processor performance.

The graphics card, which is placed on its side using a riser cable, can be up to 330 millimeters long, 70 millimeters thick and 150 millimeters wide. Such dimensions allow the use of models with high-end chips and more sumptuous coolers. The fact that the eBlaztr can also accommodate four 2.5″ hard drives is less due to necessity than to possibilities: they are simply placed under the motherboard, where the layout leaves plenty of free space.

High price without everything

Only the riser card is included in the scope of delivery of the eBlaztr; the computer and monitor must be purchased. This gives the freedom to individually adjust the resolution and refresh rate to the needs or performance of the remaining hardware. However, this has little impact on the price: the cheapest retailer the eBlaztr for around 440 euros.
