Hogwarts Legacy will receive an update on January 30, 2025 which should allow access via the Engineer Mode Engineer Manager to available community mods. There, mods can be selected from a library and installed with a single click. Downloading from other websites and copying or even modifying game files is not necessary. Community Director Chandler Wood of Avalanche Software, the developers of Hogwarts Legacy, presents the key points of the new official modding support in a three-minute video. It has not yet been said whether existing mods are automatically registered or whether mod authors are diligently equipped. Creator-Toolkit IM Epic Games Store
Via the Epic Games store, players can get the Hogwarts Legacy creator tool for free, but have to make do with the English language. A WB-Games account must be used in the database for further downloading. With the toolbox, not only simple things such as hairstyles or faces can be changed, but also new quests and level sections can be created. Examples of flying dragons or vacuum cleaners are mentioned as a broom replacement (Kobold 2000 anyone?) as well as a “Dungeon of Doom” mod, which is supposed to offer ongoing battles and hidden paths.
