Foldable smartphone: OnePlus gives Open 2 a 5-review rejection this year

According to this, the company had decided not to launch a new foldable smartphone this year and therefore no OnePlus Open 2 at the moment.
OnePlus explains the decision by creating the company to set new benchmarks and challenge the status quo. This year, Oppo will take the lead in the foldable smartphone segment with the N5 research, says OnePlus. You want to develop products yourself that redefine multiple product categories and fit the “never settle the mantra”.

The segment breakup that was announced is not a song of the product category by OnePlus. OPPO N5 innovations such as the use of new materials and advancements in folding smartphone construction must be adopted by OnePlus. It kind of sounds like OnePlus wants to leave the stage at OPPO this year before announcing a new foldable smartphone based on it. Nothing should change for owners of the current OnePlus Open. Software and security updates and general service have remained unchanged.
Oppo Find N5 arrives on February 20
Oppo released the N5 Research idea on February 20. The foldable smartphone would feature a particularly slim design which the manufacturer confirmed at 8.93mm when closed. This means that the Discovery N5 stacks up thinner than the Honor V3, which depending on the back is 9.2 or 9.3mm.
