The NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 5070 TI (test) is not available as a Founders Edition, so the first test of the third Blackwell Geforce took place on the basis of a “MSRP model”. These are custom designs that partially sell partners to the entry-level UVP that Nvidia has called for the series. In the case of the GEFORCE RTX 5070 TI, this is 879 euros.
The MSI Ventus 3X OC did not convince
The custom design, which was provided for the publishers for this purpose, was the MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Ventus 3x OC. An alternative would be an Asus Prime (without OC). MSI’s design in the test could not convince, because its thin and relatively compact cooling system could only keep the Zien-Zien-Zien-Ziegen GPU from 68 ° C at very high volume.

GEFORCE RTX 5070 TI CUSTOM-DESIGNS IM Test: ASUS TUF Gaming vs MSI Ventus 3X OC
The ASUS model is clearly a “premium design”, although it also becomes a little higher in this class with ROG Strix. However, the RTX 5070 Ti does not have the 4-fan-a-asrral design.
The TUF Gaming is significantly larger and heavier than the Ventus 3X, offers two different BIOS versions and the well-known subtle TUF-Gaming-RGB lighting on the side (TUF-Logo). According to the spec sheet, it also comes with 105 MHz more with the same TDP of 300 watts and this can also be lifted by 10%. This is not possible on the MSI Ventus 3x OC. The 2nd HDMI connection is typical of Asus.

Test system and test methodology
In the deviation from the well-known GPU test system 2025, a new system has been configured for testing Ty RTX 5080 and RTX 5070. During these heated weeks, it may be prevented from launching reviews of a new class and testing of custom designs gets in the way.
Custom design testing in another case
An AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3d (test) with DDR5-6000 is also in the custom design test system, but the case is completely different: instead of the Fractal Design Torrent, the Fractal Design Meshify 2 is used with six fans (two in the front (blowing), three in the lid, one behind (all blowing).

All tests and benchmarks are trained in this configuration, only the lust force measurement takes place with disabled fans isolated for the graphics card (30 cm distance from the side door side with open speed under load).
The two available BIOS versions are tested in the test. For this purpose, the graphics card (as in the standard test course) is operated in Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition in UHD for maximum details and closed housing wall. A reference is made after 5 minutes. The reference result and measured values for temperatures, speeds, clock rates and consumption are then recorded.
