This week the Epic Games store donated with Garden Story and World Z: Aftmath were two games that could hardly be more different. Both games can be added for free in the Epic Games store to their own library by February 27, 2025 at 5 p.m. The only requirement is an account for the store.
Colorful and bloody
The two wildly different games have one more thing in common, as both are about fighting rot. As the Garden Story player slips into the role of Protector of Grove and must preserve the domestic forest from death, the world was Z: Aftermath Zombies.
The Garden Indie Title story, designed for single-player, was released in 2021 and reviews a solid meta score of 73/100 points and a user rating of 7.0/10. Under Steam, the game is rated as “very positive”. The regular price is around 20 euros.
World Was Z: Aftermath ties into the shooter based on the film World Was Z and shows Las Vegas, which has been neglected by zombies. In the cooperative zombie shooter, the player must avoid the zombie apocalypse alone with an AI team or with up to 3 players. The game, which is regularly available as DLC, contains all content from the WWII Game of the Year edition. The age rating is 18 years old.
The MetScore is 80/100 points. User ratings are a bit below with 6.4/10. Steam Player rates the game as “very positive”.
