Dune: Awakening focuses on the Unreal 5 engine, but does not fully exploit the possibilities of the modern substructure. There is DLSS 4 Super Resolution and Frame Generation, FSR 3-ALLOS WITH SR AND FG-AND EPICS TSR-UPSCALING, Raytracing is not part of the party. Apart from that, the MMO graphically doesn’t find a connection to current blockbusters. On the other hand, the requirements are not too high, so Dune: Awakening can also achieve high frame rates with maximized graphics settings and quality sampling without frame generation, especially in lower resolutions. So MFG is needed here like sand in the desert.
What is tested?
It is necessary to agree on the specified test series in advance in order to be able to collect resilient and extensive results for concrete graphics settings. One challenge is that Dune: Awakening also enables ultra-fetch scaling in the balanced profile and also frame generation, but is neither necessary nor a good basis for community benchmarking. But no reason to bury your head in the sand: the editorial team has committed to the following four configurations, which can be quickly adjusted manually.

For simplicity, the same graphics settings are used in all four resolutions Full HD, WQHD, UWQHD and UHD: it is important to select the highest “ultra” preset and then switch to “individual” to make the scaling settings manually. With “Antialiasing & Upscaler”, DLSS or FSR3 must be selected, after which the upsampling profile must be set to quality for both underlying options. Then the “frame generation” can be turned off manually so that consistent results can be ensured between generations of the GPU.

Additionally, as usual, it is important to ensure that V-sync or frame limiter is disabled by the driver so as not to put the benchmark operation in the sand at high FPS. Dune: Wake should be done in full screen mode, and the motion blur in the “Display” tab should remain off, so this is also the case by default.

Participants should also ensure that they have installed the correct graphics driver. Explicitly for Dune: Awakening is currently not of the time, the editorial team always advises to be comparable to the currently most recent versions:

For simplicity, the community test takes place with the benchmark integrated into the benchmark demo. What FPS result counts?
In order to avoid potential errors when compensating for different FPS values, the editorial team decided to only take into account the average FPS in the player bases for the community reference. Here the frame rate is regularly output, so player bases can be used as a preliminary worst case scenario for performance.

Critical graphics settings are also marked in the screenshot, which players must do manually after switching from ultra-presence to individual configuration. The editorial team stops all benchmark participants to double-check before submitting their own results whether the up-failure was active in the quality profile and frame generation was turned off.
When you specify the screen percentage, it can be reproducible in a bug: 100% is sometimes shown here, even if something else is stored in the graphics settings depending on the scaling – the worm is obviously still possible here.
The process in a nutshell
The Dune: Awakening Benchmark Charge on steam. Update the graphics driver and restart the PC. In the “full screen” options and select the desired resolution. Activate in “Quality” mode. Frame generation is always off. Driver’s side. Start the benchmark.
Submit benchmark results

Only when the contribution is saved are the basic computer values visible.
It is important to pay attention to the correct name, which in any case should always contain information about the GPU and CPU. The information should be made like the following list and the already available benchmarks – this increases the clarity enormously. Ideally, the created comments can be supplemented with screenshots of the benchmark results.

Along with the GPU and CPU, it can be indicated whether the chip has been overclocked (OC) or the voltage has been reduced (UV). GPUs must also be mentioned if it is a mobile chip (max q = mq, mobile = m, optimally reduced by specifying the TGP) or the power consumption. In this case, the difference between reference and custom design is not made. Memory information is also not necessary and is not taken into account.
The form does not have to be completely filled out and selected results can also be reported. Other measured values can be added later by submitting the form again.
Community test results
