MWC Glomo Awards: Pixel 9 Pro as Phone of the Year 7 Comments

For the second time, a pro model from Google’s Pixel series has been recognized as the best smartphone of the recently concluded MWC 2025. The jury cites AI functions, various innovations, design and a good price-performance ratio as reasons for the decision.
Google was able to win the Global Mobile (Glomo) award for the second time after the Pixel 8 Pro was congratulated last year with the Mobile World Congress award. The jury, consisting of industry experts, analysts and technology journalists, highlighted in Pixel 9 Pro (test) in particular the AI-based functions, Google’s camera innovations, comprehensive software support, slim hardware design and the attractive price level of the Pixel flagship.

But that’s not all: Google also prevailed against the competition in the Breakthrough Device Innovation Award. The company received this award for its AI solution Gemini, with which its integration into the Android system of Pixel smartphones convinced the jury.
