The version for 5 and Xbox Series X have a 60 fps mode, called “Performance”. Shadows supports a total of 3 modes on both consoles.

Performance mode aims for 60fps. It does this by reducing the rendering resolution and adapting the graphics settings to achieve a constant 60fps. This mode is based on the global lighting technology on both PS5 and Xbox Series

Raytracing Reflections only on PS5 Pro

Quality mode targets 30fps, which leads to a higher resolution and improves several rendering systems. Here, too, Raytraced-Global lighting technology is used in standard mode on PS5 and Xbox Series X, while an extended Raytraced mode with Raytrace reflections is used on the PS5 Pro. With 30fps as a goal, there are also improvements to visual lengths, shadows and hair quality in the game.

Balanced mode, which requires a display compatible with a high refresh rate (120 Hz), allows a goal of 40 fps that combines the two previous modes, Ubisoft explains. Balanced mode essentially uses the same configuration as Fidelity mode, but the FPS of the UpCaler goal is instead 40 fps. In practice, this leads to a slight reduction in rendering resolution compared to Quality mode, although the configuration of all other rendering systems remains unaffected.

Only on the Xbox Series, the game is still limited to 30fps and a lower resolution.
