Lego is expanding its themed world around the little Italian plumber co-opposite and, after a number of sets for children, is now launching a model that is aimed more at adult Mario fans. The implementation of the components should be available in mid-May at a price of 170 euros.
1,972 building blocks for 32 × 22 × 19 cm
The kart of the figure created by Shigeru Miyamoto and has long acted as a mascot of Nintendo corresponds to the racing car of Mario Kart 8 and consists of 1,972 building blocks. Given the size of the model – 32 cm long, 22 cm high and 19 cm wide – it can be assumed that smaller parts in particular have been installed, which puts the connection back a bit. Unlike many other high-priced sets from the Danish manufacturer, the kit, under the full name “Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (72037)”, is entirely on stickers and relies only on printed elements. It should not be unlikely that this is due to a license from Nintendo.

Partly movable figure, but no game
The closed Mario figure has a movable head and movable arms, although at least the thumb can be moved. Fans can use the model to be built on the stand that are also built to the game, meaning that the set should be a pure display model. The structure can be carried out either with the printed building instructions or via the LEGO Builder app, which offers additional support with 3D views and a progress display. Although the set is officially designed for builders aged 18, experience has shown that older children should have no difficulty developing. From the middle perhaps to Lego, the specialist trade will follow later
The set “Super Mario: Mario Kart-Mario & Standard Kart (72037)” can currently be pre-ordered for 169.99 euros in the LEGO online shop, and delivery is expected to take place from May 15, 2025. According to the LEGO Promofricks blog, the set will be available exclusively in the official LEGO online sidewalk and in the tracking-Before-Before-Beforelfrefrefrefrewfrewing then in the dragonfly trade.
