Cooler Master NCORE 100 Air: Tiny ITX Tower Now Comes with Hardware 37 comments

Cooler Master’s ITX Tower Housing, the NCORE 100 Max, now comes with hardware. With the new NCORE 100 Air, the power supply and cooler must be selected. Otherwise, the tower remains unchanged and is therefore tall, yet narrow—and flexible.
In its standard configuration, the NCORE 100 Air reaches a volume of 14.7 liters. If more space is needed, it can be removed. The width then increases from 155 to 172 millimeters to create more space for components in the cooler ITX tower, increasing the volume to a good 16.5 liters.
To facilitate hardware assembly, the chassis can be removed without tools. The L-shaped side pieces, as well as the cover and the front stabilizing strut, can be removed in this way to create an “open-frame chassis.”

Component size can be a significant factor in the build. A continuous panel sliding tray allows for coolers 50 to 70 millimeters high, allowing for higher-end models with at least slightly more cooling capacity, and maximum triple-slot graphics cards with a length between 336 and 356 millimeters and two sub-panels. GPU height is still limited to 180 millimeters, which includes the power connection. This means that the sizes of CPU coolers and graphics cards are mutually dependent.
The graphics card mounts the NCORE 100 with a PCIe 4.0 cable, so your cooler is supplied with air directly from the side. Active cooling is provided by two 120 mm CS120 fans (1,200 rpm) with PWM connections in the lid and rear. The same principle applies to the CPU cooler, unless, as in the max version of the NCORE 100, an AIO cooler with a 120 mm radiator is used.
Cooler Master has not yet commented on the price of the Air NCORE 100. The max version, with a 37 mm deep 120 mm AIO cooler and the 850 watt SFX power supply, with cable lengths adapted to the case, currently costs around 290 euros in stores. If you remove the components from the calculation, a price between 100 and 120 euros seems realistic.
