Steam Spring Sale: Valve Brings First Major Discount Campaign of the Year 114 comments

Four times a year, Valve holds its major Steam sales on Steam, a departure from smaller discount campaigns with a clear genre or theme. In fact, there are almost always discounts, but rarely across the entire product range. The spring sale that has now begun is reducing various categories, but this time not hardware.
Steam Sale for Games, but Not for Steam Deck
A year ago, Valve announced that there would only be one larger discount campaign per season on Steam in the future. Valve justified the changes on the one hand with the short period between winter and winter and the desire of many publishers and developers for a major discount campaign in spring. As a result, the Steam Spring Sale celebrates its first anniversary today. The campaign runs from March 13th to March 20th and doesn’t end at 7:00 PM due to the time change in that country, which has already ended in the US at 7:00 PM.
As usual with the four major Steam sales, there are offers across genres and for games in all sorts of categories. As usual, a rough preview is provided by a trailer. There are also cosmetic previews once again: if you browse your personalized discovery list, Valve will reward you with stickers for Steam chat. Unlike last year, the Steam deck isn’t being updated; even the last remaining LCD variant isn’t getting any cheaper.
As always, it’s important to remember that sale prices don’t necessarily have to be the lowest prices.
