Acer will launch two new QD-OLED monitors under its Predator gaming brand: the Predator X27U X1 and X32 X2. Both 27-inch and 32-inch panels offer a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz and modern hardware. However, the market launch will not take place until the third quarter of 2025.

Two New Models in WQHD and UHD

OLED monitors are gradually replacing conventional LC in the portfolios of many manufacturers. Acer is no exception, refreshing its offering with two new models featuring modern 16:9 aspect ratio panels. Given that the same panels are likely used in the new Predator monitors as with various other manufacturers, the key data announced comes as no surprise. The smaller model with a 26.5-inch display delivers a WQHD image, while its 31.5-inch sibling delivers UHD.

The maximum refresh rate is currently standard at 240 Hz, with variable refresh rates achieved via FreeSync Premium Pro, and both monitors are also G-Sync compatible. The color space coverage is rated at 99% DCI-P3, with maximum brightness at 1,000 nits at peak for 3% of the panel. For the entire panel, the value drops to 250 nits. This data is sufficient for HDR True Black 400 certification.

Both monitors are equipped with integrated speakers, which, according to the data sheet, allow the smaller x27U X1 to produce a surprisingly high output power, with 5 watts, while the X32 X2 only achieves 2 watts. While the Predator X27U X1's optical appearance can be described as simple, the base of the X32 X2 clearly displays the Predator brand's gaming genes. The ergonomic features of the stands are simple and offer standard adjustment options for tilt and height adjustment. They do not offer a 90-degree rotation of the screens (pivot function). Alternatively, the monitors can be installed using standardized 75x75 mm VESA mounts on monitor arms, stand feet, or wall mounts from third-party manufacturers. Acer Predator x32 x2

Acer has roughly scheduled the launch of the dual monitors for the third quarter. They should then be available for an RRP of €1,199 for the Predator x32 x2 and €699 for the Predator x27u x1. Meanwhile, caution should be exercised regarding the nomenclature: the 32-inch model could easily be confused with the Predator x32 x3 dual-mode , which is also expected to launch in the third quarter.
