With the two 2025 generation HXI series power supplies, Corsair is targeting enthusiasts who want to run high-performance hardware such as the high-end RTX-50 graphics cards with high-performance hardware. Both performance variants can theoretically power two of these graphics cards with two 12V-2×6 connections. 12V-2×6 with 600W each
The 12V-2×6 connection is implemented via two conventional 8-pin connectors, which generally ensures lower loads on the connection terminals. Many power supply manufacturers use the 12V-2×6 connector at both ends of the cable, which otherwise offers no advantages other than minor space savings. The 12V-2×6 connector on the graphics card page is electrically rated at 600W and complies with the latest ATX 3.1 standard. While the new standard guarantees greater security for a perfect fit, the two-tone connector housing is now also facilitated by optical control.
For cooling, Corsair once again relies on the internal 140mm FDB fan, which is semi-passively controlled. Optionally, the fan curve can also be adjusted via the ICue software. This also allows switching between single- and multi-rail operation, which can affect the power supply‘s overcurrent shutdown. The HX1500I also features a C20 plug on the mains side so that high performance can be restored to the low-voltage US mains.

Efficiency is specified with CyBenetics Platinum, although the certification report is not yet listed in the database. With “Lambda A,” the volume is nominally rated lower than that of the 2023 predecessor, the HX1200I, with “Lambda A+.” The HX1500I is rated unchanged with “Lambda A-.”
The Corsair online store lists the power supplies for EUR 314.90 (HX1200I) and EUR 359.90 (HX1500I) as “ex-stock,” with availability expected in the coming days. The manufacturer estimates the warranty period to be ten years.
