In line with the release of Doom: The Dark Ages starting May 13th, Asus, in collaboration with Bethesda, will launch the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 Doom Edition tomorrow. The Slayer-themed graphics card comes with the game in the premium edition, a T-shirt, a mouse pad, and a replica of a yellow key card. Technically, a ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC
From a technical perspective, the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 DOOM Edition corresponds to the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC (test), meaning it boasts a boost clock of 2760 MHz and 2790 MHz in OC mode. Neither Asus nor Bethesda, which are exclusively selling the graphics card, have yet announced a price for the limited-edition model. The regular ROG ASTRAL GEFORCE RTX 5080 OC currently costs €1,479 in the price comparison. Due to its exclusive position and included extras, the Doom Edition is expected to be more expensive. The graphics card is supported by the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5080 OC via the Slayer logo on the top, as well as the overall green-gold coloring of the graphics card, and additional symbols and Sentinel figures on the fans. For added “flair,” as Asus describes the presentation, the connection cover and heat sink are kept in gold. A statement piece for the system—or for collectors, just for the display, as Asus puts it.
Doom: The Dark Ages is available in three editions.
Doom: The Dark Ages will be released on May 13, 2025, in the Premium and Collector’s Editions, or two days later on May 15, 2025, for Standard Edition buyers. This version is available for €80. The Premium Edition costs €109.99, while Bethesda charges an impressive €209.99 for the Collector’s Edition. The game is already pre-ordered for PC on Steam or in the Microsoft Store, and for the Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.

System Requirements for Doom: The Dark Ages
The system requirements for Doom: The Dark Ages are less hellish than perhaps fearsome. However, a graphics card that supports ray tracing is explicitly required. The game also requires 100 GB of free space on an SSD. In Full HD and low details, 60 fps should already be possible with a GeForce RTX 2060 Super or Radeon RX 6600. The CPU must then be a Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-10700K and at least 16 GB of RAM should be on board. A GeForce RTX 3080 or Radeon RX 6800 are recommended as graphics cards for high details at 1440p. A Ryzen 7 5700X or an Intel Core i7-12700K are included in the processors. 32 GB of RAM is required. For Ultra HD at 60 fps at ultra settings, the RAM and CPU requirements remain the same. For the graphics card, however, it should be either a GeForce RTX 4080 or Radeon RX 7900 XT.
