Corsair HXI and RMX Shift: HXI Power Supplies Move the ICue Link Hub to the Power Supply

After the HXI series was refreshed this year, Corsair is expanding its portfolio with enthusiasts featuring a twisted connector panel, as already seen in the next lower-end model. The is sending the Shift RMX series a new solution to the issue by adding a rotary control for fan control.

Instead of connecting the HXI Shift Power Supplies to a central system element, which connects all the cables as before, the manufacturer promises more decent cable routing—a larger PCIe port is required for the hub.

Hub on the front, performance on the side

The integrated hub provides the only LED connections on the front. All other connections are made using the manufacturer’s specific Type 5 cable set, which, like the native 12V-2×6 connection, follows the Molex micro-ATS standard. The connections are located on the side. The Shift HX1500I has only two 12V-2×6 connectors. In addition to the 1,200-watt model, the Shift now also a 1,000-watt version.

All other specifications remain unchanged for the standard version, with an efficiency of up to 94% according to Cybenetics Platinum, as well as the embossed PVC cables, the 140 mm semi-passive fan, and the ten-year warranty. The Shift HX1500I is available with two versions of the network connection (one with a C20 connector and one with a C14 connector).

Shift RMX with a rotary switch for fan control

With the RMX Shift 2025, Corsair announced an update to the series at Computex 2025. It essentially adds a rotary control to the rear, as is already the case with the standard RMX series. This allows you to disable the semi-passive fan control and adjust the fan speed to your own preference.

The Shift HXI is expected to be available in the late third to early fourth quarter of 2025. The RMX Shift is expected to be available in stores in early 2026.
