AMD Adrenalin 24.12.1 WHQL: Later driver for Stalker 2 and Flight Simulator 2024 122 comments
With the current Adrenalin 24.12.1 driver, AMD is now adapting its graphics cards to Stalker 2 and Flight Simulator 2024, almost a month after Nvidia. However, the next Indiana Jones is left out, while he is already supported by the green competitor.
Optimizations for “new” games
As is often the case, AMD is lagging behind in providing the latest drivers and now only offers native support for the games Marvel Rivals, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Dragon Age: The Veilguard (test), Slitterhead, Delta Force with the latest Adrenalin. Edition 24.12.1 WQHL and STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl (test).
More innovations
The new driver version now supports Linux WSL 2 and development using AMD ROCm for Windows subsystems. Here, support has been expanded to include support for ONNX Runtime, TensorFlow, and Beta on Triton.
The games Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, MechWarrior 5: Clans and Red Dead Redemption 2 will also be covered in the future by the HYPR-RX feature package under AMD Adrenalin 24.12.1 WHQL.

List of bugs fixed

List of known but still open bugs
An intermittent driver timeout or crash may be experienced when playing Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 on certain AMD graphics products, such as the AMD Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370. Users experiencing this issue can enable variable graphics memory in AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition as a temporary measure (AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition -> Performance -> Tuning -> Variable Graphics Memory). Intermittent stuttering may be observed when playing Marvel Rivals when AMD FidelityFX™ Super 3 resolution frame generation is enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to disable AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 frame generation in each game’s settings as a temporary workaround. After using the AMD Cleanup Utility for Windows®, the AMD Bug Report Tool may appear intermittently while installing a new driver. on AMD Ryzen™ 7000 and higher processors combined with AMD graphics products. HEVC encoding may not work as expected when using OBS Studio with Twitch Enhanced Broadcasting.
