AMD Radeon RX 9070 (XT): Asus brings feedback on TUF Gaming and Prime series 20

Asus launches the AMD Radeon RX 9070 (XT) generation with the TUF Gaming and Prime series. Both series share three fans, an aluminum backplate, dual BIOS, and fanless operation at low loads. RGB completes the TUF model, and three 8-pin PCIe power connectors power both graphics cards.
The curtain has fallen on AMD’s next-gen RDNA 4, and the first details and features were presented at CES 2025. As confirmed by Asus, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT come with 16 GB of graphics memory.
Asus TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 (XT) OC Edition
The top model from Asus belongs to the TUF Gaming series and is called the Asus TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 (XT) OC Edition. The name, which is not short, does not specify the amount of memory, so Asus’ previous announcement is particularly important. Three fans, each equipped with eleven blades, provide cooling. The backplate is made of aluminum and, as is common these days, the fans feature 0dB technology, which is when the ventilation is turned off at low load. A dual BIOS allows switching between performance and silent mode. Asus promotes the use of phase change pads for GPU cooling as a special feature and innovation of this generation. The non-conductive material, solid at room temperature, melts when heated and fills any irregularities between the GPU and the cooling block. The pads must be particularly durable and last much longer than traditional thermal pastes.
The graphics card itself is reinforced with a metal structure and is intended to prevent the user from bending in conjunction with a GPU bracket. An additional feature of the TUF series is an illuminated TUF gaming logo, which can be individually adjusted using Aura Sync.

Asus Prime Radeon RX 9070 (XT) OC Edition
The Prime model, which belongs to the TUF series and is also equipped with three fans, also does not skimp on the name with the name Asus Prime Radeon RX 9070 (XT) OC Edition. Slot 2.5 occupies the PC case design. The copy shares many features with the TUF model, such as phase change pads, 0dB technology, dual bios and an aluminum backplate. According to the images provided by Asus, the Prime model has a power supply with three 8-pin PCIe connectors. RGB should be avoided.
