The first two RDNA 4 graphics cards Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 will not appear until March, as AMD recently clarified. According to various rumors and statements from dealers, the fact that this was not always expected is now also due to the advertisements on Reddit that European users have shown today.

Marketing on the go

AMD’s introduction and market launch of the Radeon RX 9070 (XT) can hardly be considered a prime example of a successful product launch. In December 2024 and partly at the beginning of January 2025, rumors and teasers from board partners pointed to testing and a start in retail between January 22 and 24. AMD spoke only vaguely at CES from Q1 and, given the great confusion around the next generation Radeon, casually mentioned that it should be ready in March 2025. Techconseil can understand from its own sources that the release schedule was actually different. ; A confirmation now also serves ads on Reddit.

Throughout the day, several European Reddit users have seen AMD ads explicitly advertising the Radeon-RX 9000 series. In Polish, the manufacturer announces “Gaming now thanks to the highest performance of the AMD Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards”; “Now” and a market launch in March are obvious. According to VideoCardz, there is also talk of “immediate availability” of the Radeon RX 9070 (XT) in other languages.

A marketing offensive published today, probably by chance, is in line with detailed information that many resellers have already received custom designs of the graphics cards. Only it turned out differently than expected. The reasons for this change can be speculated, although AMD has since communicated an official justification: The manufacturer wanted to use the extra time to work on the software and enable more with the new Ki-Upsampling FSR 4.

A new look at the MBA design

In the meantime, the advertisement gives a closer look at the reference design (“Made by AMD”) of the new Radeon graphics cards, which has not yet been seen from this perspective. The cover image of this post shows the section of the image after AI upscaling. In addition to a revised design that is somewhat reminiscent of RDNA 2, the already known three axial fans and this time also two 8-pin power connections can be seen.
