AMD Ryzen AI 300 Max (+): Tests for Strix Halo already tomorrow, release next week? 27 comments

Announced for the 1st quarter of CES 2025, systems with AMDS to date have not yet taken to the market with AMD’s largest APU “Strix Halo”. Now it is said that the first tests of the Ryzen AI 300 Max (+) with up to 40 Cu Strong rDNA 3.5 IGPU could appear tomorrow. Asus, in turn, announces a market launch on February 25.
Asus announces ROG Flow Z13 (2025) for next week
In addition to HP, ASUS had announced a system with Ryzen Ai 300 Max (+) as the second of so far only two OEMs: the ASUS ROG Flow Z13 (2025). It builds on the Top Model Strix-Halo AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and, according to a post from Asus on Weibo, will appear on Tuesday next week.

AMD’s Halo Strix “Monster-APU” includes four different variants in the Ryzen Ai Max (+) 300 series. Kernen and 40 C of the RDNA-3.5 graphics solution.
In AI applications, AMD even put a GeForce RTX 4090 in the shade, although this is mainly due to the fact that Strix Halo can use 96 GB in a system with 128 GB of RAM as graphics memory, while the 4090 with 24 GB is not enough storage for the large language model used.
