Android 15 Update: Samsung‘s Galaxy Tab S8 Series Receives One UI 7 Worldwide
Samsung continues to roll out Android 15 and One UI 7 to its mobile devices. After many models from the South Korean manufacturer had already received the update in recent weeks, users of the Galaxy Tab 8 series tablets are now enjoying the new version worldwide.
No Current Security Patches
After recent Samsung smartphone owners were used to the update, the company continued rolling it out to its tablets last week and initially released One UI 7 for the Galaxy Tab 8 in South Korea. Meanwhile, the update with firmware version X700XXU9DYDC has also been released for other regions around the world. It should therefore only be a matter of time before users of the Galaxy Tab 8 model series receive Android 15 and One UI 7 in this country as well. The editorial team is reportedly satisfied with the information in the comments.
The fact that the update has been completed for some time can be seen, among other things, in that it only contains the security patches for April 2025 and not the most recent ones for May.

The update is being distributed “OTA”
Since distribution is taking place as usual OTA (“Over the Air”), it may take a few more days before all users of the device receive the corresponding update notification. Alternatively, it is possible to manually use the Odin app to manage the new firmware on the respective tablet.
