APNX V1: Sloped glass case with wood

The V1 from APNX has a glass box design with a sloping front. The manufacturer relies on wood, among other things. With color accents in black and white, APNX comes with a total of six case variants.

The front is not only for design reasons. The fans can be placed in the corner to bring the air from the front to the inside, unlike other glass cases. Two 160 mm, 140 mm or three 120 mm fans can be mounted there. The air is then guided over the components at a 45° angle, which is reflected by the ventilation grille on the lid – this perpetuates the “sloping” design.

Two 140 mm or three 10 mm fans can also be installed at the top and bottom. However, fans must be purchased. Radiators are limited to a size of 360 mm at the front, top and base. Dust filters are present at all major inlets and outlets.

A large main chamber

Coolers with a height of 170 mm can be mounted in the main chamber. In practice, this does not imply any restrictions; even current tower models do not become larger. can also be used without restrictions; a bracket helps with long models.

The power supply and a hinged bracket for are located behind the motherboard. Two 2.5 / 3.5″ hard drives and four additional 2.5″ data devices can be used there. There is a distance of 90 millimeters to the side panel, which leaves plenty of space for cables.

Another special feature of the V1 is the possibility of moving the motherboard in height. If necessary, a gap between the circuit board and the cover can be reduced for aesthetic reasons. There is also the option to mount the graphics card vertically. To do this, however, you need to purchase the “Vertical GPU Holder Kit 2” with a Gen 5.0 PCIe riser cable.

Prices and availability

The V1 is offered entirely in one color, black and white and with wooden accents in front of the fan cover. Street prices start at around 140 euros and end at around 160 euros, depending on the version. Accommodations should be available in the coming days.
