Assassin’s Creed Competition: Rise of the Ronin Coming to PC in March

Assassin’s Creed Competition: Rise of the Ronin comes March 31 Reviews for the PC

PC players can play Rise of the Ronin, a Japanese open-world action role-playing game, starting March 11, 2025. The developers promise that the player can have a lot of influence on the plot.

What is it about?

The player slips into the skin of a nameless warrior, a Ronin whom the player, as usual in many role-playing , can optically adapt to his preferences. With some player influence, developers advertise progressive action and possible story endings. On the way to the credits, various factions and historical figures should cross the player’s path. Some of them can be protected or killed by the player, depending on this the story of the game should change.

The different landscapes with the cities of Edo, Yokohama and Kyoto are shrouded in different dresses depending on the season. To choose for the player, there are several melee weapons such as Spears, Odachi or Katana and ranged weapons, arches and guns. With the variant on Metacritic, the game was able to achieve a metacore of 76 with a game rating of 7.9 points.

Opposite PlayStation 5 technical upgrade

The patience of PC players has paid off from a technical point of view. A year after the release on PlayStation 5, buyers receive several features that did not exist on the console. In addition to ultra-wide (21:9) and super-ultra (32:9) monitors, Rise of the Ronin supports “120 fps” on the PC (although probably unlimited) and resolutions up to 8k. The image looks nice with Raytracing.

So that higher frame rates can be achieved, NVIDIA DLSS Super Resolution and AMD’s competitive product Fidelity FX Super Resolution and Intels Xess will be available. In the trailer there is also frame generation, but without indicating whether that means AMDS smooth motion frames or really Nvidia’s frame generation. NVIDIA graphics cards can also use Nvidia Reflex. For the PC, an adjustable free key assignment for mouse and keyboard as well as a user interface that can be operated via the mouse is also implemented.

System requirements only for full HD

The previously published do not yet provide much information, but only an overview of the requirements for full HD. For minimum requirements, the developer expects 30fps with low graphical details. With a GEForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB VRAM, 16 GB RAM and a Ryzen 5 1600 or Core i5-10400, no current hardware.

Recommended hardware then hits 60fps in full HD at standard settings. A GeForce RTX 2080 Super with 8 GB of VRAM or RADEON RX 6700 XT with 12 GB of VRAM will then become mandatory. A Core i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 5600X should be used as the processor. DirectX 12 and a 64-bit operating system are still required.
