Asus wants to bring a whole range of monitor innovations to CES 2025. These include a 6K display with Thunderbolt 4 in a double pack, two UHD monitors with automatic calibration, and a new gaming model with 4K UHD and 160 Hz.

ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV

The ProArt Display 6K PA32QCV, aimed at professional users, can offer a particularly large number of pixels, namely around 20 million. 6,016 × 3,384 pixels are displayed on a screen diagonal of 32 inches. This means a pixel density of around 216 ppi. The size and resolution are the same as the Apple Pro Display XDR, so it has some competition in these areas.

However, the Asus monitor probably won’t be as bright as the Apple model with backlighting, as DisplayHDR 600 only means at least 600 cd/m² in the center of the image. The “anti-glare and low-reflection (AGLR) coating” is intended to provide a “paper-like screen effect” as well as “exceptional pixel color fidelity and sharper details” compared to conventional matte monitors, Asus announces. The DCI-P3 color space should be covered at 98 percent.

The high-end features also include the two Thunderbolt 4 ports with 96 watts of power and daisy chain support. 1.4, HDMI 2.1 and a USB hub with KVM switch function are also mentioned. The illustration shows the silver base, which is intended to offer all common adjustment options.

ProArt PA32UCE and PA27UCGE displays

Above all, Asus wants to attract “video editors and colorists” with the ProArt PA32UCE (32 inches) and PA27UCGE (27 inches) screens. Both have a resolution of 3,840 × 2,160 pixels and are expected to achieve 600 cd/m² brightness and 98% DCI-P3. Only the 27-inch monitor also offers a high refresh rate of 160Hz, which is what one would expect from its bigger brother’s normal 60Hz.

Equipped with an integrated colorimeter and an anti-glare hood, the professional character quickly appears. Here too, AGLR technology aims to reduce reflections and make content sharper.

Instead of Thunderbolt, there’s 96-watt USB-C, DisplayPort, HDMI, and a USB hub.

ROG Strix XG32UCG

Dual mode is an increasingly common feature on gaming monitors. And so the Asus ROG Strix

The monitor supports both FreeSync and Nvidia and is said to offer DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 15 watts of power. However, equipment details are not yet available.

More details on CES 2025

Like the trio of new ZenScreen monitors, Asus will demonstrate the Strix XG32UCG and new ProArt models in more detail at CES 2025 in Las Vegas in early January. Further key data as well as pricing and availability information can be expected at the earliest.
