After the CES presentation in early January, Asus is now releasing the 27-inch ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM monitor on the market at a price of 1,500 euros. The screen is based on a fourth generation panel and represents 3,840 × 2,160 pixels with 240 Hz. Certification for VESA Displayhdr 400 True Black is also available.

Available according to ASUS, dealers are still waiting for goods

ASUS presented the monitor with the ROG STRIX STRIX OLED XG27AQDPG, which combined WQHD with 500 Hz based on the fourth generation OLED QD. According to ASUS, the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is now available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in specialist retailers and online as well as directly from ASUS. However, a corresponding search in the manufacturer’s online store led to no results, while the first dealers call “from 1,500 euros” as the price in the price comparison. However, the monitor is still listed there as “unavailable, not in stock.” Asus itself refers to three dealers on the product page, but they don’t have any merchandise. One of the stores that can’t even deliver advertising directly at the start with a 24% discount.

4K at 27 inches for 166 ppi

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM mainly distinguishes the 27-inch QD OLED panel from the fourth generation. It can therefore be understood as a smaller counterpart of the PG32UCDM with 32 inches and third generation of QDs. In addition to the high pixel density of 163 ppi, the panel would be characterized by improved writing. With “ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0,” screen flickering is also intended to reduce pixel brightness when the refresh rate fluctuates, which is expected to result in a 20% reduction compared to previous generation panels.

Oled Care Pro with a three-year warranty

Rog Oled Care Pro combined with a neo-proximity sensor should ensure that the screen recognizes the presence of the user, so it is converted to a black image if it is not in the detection area to protect the screen from burns. According to ASUS, the sensor’s recording range can be adjusted to user preferences. Rog Oled Care Pro combines other OLED protection functions such as pixel cleaning, screen saver and stable task recognition and also includes a three-year manufacturer’s warranty by ASUS.
