After being silent! In 2013 with Power Zone, a power supply series had introduced that offered performance and not volume as a figurehead, the manufacturer committed to “innovative functions and breakthrough” passive operation.
Semi-passive operation for powering the electrical zone
For the first time, the Glinde manufacturer uses a fan control with semi-passive mode, which lets the 140 mm fan of the Pure Wings 3 up to an occupancy of around 50% at standstill-time than the temperatures permitting.
The coils have been glued so that noise from the electronics can be largely excluded. In order to counteract the often worrying start-up oscillation, a post-term delay of 2 to 5 minutes is implemented.

As with the predecessor, electrical zone 2 is not fixed via several 12 volt rails. The ATX 3.1 standard is intended to ensure that peak loading of the rated dual output quantity of the power supply can be provided. The three variants from 750 W to 850 W to 1000 W allow a continuous output of 600 W via the 12V-2×6 connection, 1800 watts of peak loads are guaranteed according to ATX 3.1. There are still three of the Classic 6 + 2 pin plugs.
Angled plug 12v-2×6
The 12V-2×6 cable is equipped with a quiet! On one end with a 90 degree corner socket. Typically this counteracts the problem of narrower bending radii. With the release of the GeForce-RTX-5000 series, NVIDIA installs the connection on the Founders Edition of RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and RTX 5070, which means that there is no compatibility in an angled connector.
Even though custom designs continue to use a lie variation, incompatibility may also exist for these if cooling on the wrong side blocks flow.

80plus platinum
The effectiveness is rated according to the “platinum” of 80plus and cybernetics and is therefore up to 94% at the top. Technically, this was achieved via an LLC half-bridge resonance converter and synchronized equal steering, which corresponds to currently common electronics. Additionally, the standard is full modular cable management with flat strip cables.
With Power Zone 2, Be Quiet follows! Also optically again a design that differs from the other series. The fan grille is described with an “unmistakable look with a specially designed mesh front”, which again subordinated the reduction in volume to the design. Typically, a honeycomb from the sheet metal of the power supply cover is used in industry as a cost reduction measure.
The Power Zone 2 will be released on February 11 for a retail price of 149.90 (750 W), 169.90 (850 W) and 189.90 euros (1000 W). The warranty period is 10 years.
