Onyx has given its BOOX MIRA Pro a color upgrade and is launching its first 25-inch monitor with a color display, the Boox Mira Pro Color. This monitor is designed to appeal to users in the office area thanks to its eye-friendly design and numerous connectivity options.
Like its smaller sibling, the BOOX Mira Pro Color has a 25.3-inch display, which dissolves into 3,200 × 1,800 pixels and thus achieves a pixel density of 145 ppi. In addition to 16 grayscale levels, it can also display 4,096 colors using the digital ink specialist’s Kaleido 3 technology. Rather, the office type
Due to its low refresh rate and foreground lighting, the BOOX Mira Pro Color works very smoothly, which particularly benefits monitors. Due to the technology used, however, the monitor is primarily suitable for static displays, and is less suited to them. Onyx attempts to offer a solution for these scenarios via BOOX Super-Refresh (BSR) technology, but previous tests on computers have shown in the past that all the optimizations and advantages of online displays have clearly left traditional monitors behind.
For various tasks, the BOOX Mira Pro Color offers four predefined refresh modes that minimize ghosting and always ensure fast image structure. The dark color enhancement and light color filter should also optimize presentations.
With its color and eye-friendly display, the Boox Mira Pro Color is particularly suitable for office work.
Plenty of Connections
For signal transmission, the BOOX Mira Pro Color offers HDMI, mini HDMI, USB Type-C, and a DisplayPort connection. It supports a variety of operating systems, ranging from Windows, macOS, and Linux to Android, iOS, and iPadOS. Audio content can also be played back via the built-in speakers.
The monitor’s stand should offer sufficient angle flexibility and can be adjusted in height and tilt, and rotated 90°. The stand can also be attached to a wall via a Vesa mount.
High Acquisition Costs
However, the BOOX Mira Pro Color isn’t cheap: Onyx now offers it for $1,900, which currently translates to around €1,675.
