The hype around the Ryzen 7 9800x3d (test) has given way to the hype around the Nvidia Geforce RTX 50 – or at least the strong disappointment at availability. The processor reaches RRP quietly and secretly today and therefore three and a half months after the market – albeit briefly. The price trend continues to show.

The R7 9800X3D has always been 529 euros on paper, but how much it can be in practice with unrestricted retail recommendations requires no further explanation. Instead, the processor has become steadily cheaper since the beginning of the month. Still unmatched in gaming

So far, there are no alternatives at this level of performance. Intel has nothing to oppose gaming in context. And the second placed predecessor of the R7 9800x3d, the Ryzen 7 7800x3d (test), has become increasingly expensive since last fall after it was available for around 300 euros at the beginning of summer. It is currently available from 479 euros. The price development of the R9 7950x3D has also taken the market launch of the successor for months. From once a good 500 euros, it has risen to 744 euros.

In March, Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D are to be released, according to rumors, the tests on March 11 and the market launch can be expected the next day. As usual, both offer only one x3D chiplet. Experience has shown that the 16-kerne processor is equal to the R7 9800x3d. So far, AMD has not mentioned any prices.
