Intel is literally blasting its way onto CB radio this week: CEO Pat Gelsinger is clearing the field, the first battle wizard will be taking it next week. In addition to the first new GPUs Battlemage, Arc B570 and Arc B580, Jan and Fabian also talk about the new HVCI benchmarks with Windows 10 and 11 and the upcoming Indiana Jones game.
CB Radio: the ninety-fourth episode
This week, Intel created two surprises: on Monday afternoon, it was announced that CEO Pat Gelsinger, who can look back on a 40-year career at the semiconductor giant, had started his last day of work last Saturday . Given Intel’s crisis, rumors are circulating about a sudden retirement: was Gelsinger voluntary or did he leave?
Meanwhile, Intel officially presented yesterday the first dedicated Battlemage GPUs: Arc B570 and Arc B580 are intended to shake up the entry-level segment and the lower middle class, recently neglected by Nvidia and AMD, with good FPS/Euro . ratio and sufficient graphics memory. We can hope that this can succeed; But there won’t be any answers until next week.
