CB Radio Podcast #112: RTX 50 in Notebooks, GPU Prices, the Nuclear Case, and Your Main Charts 0 comments
Is the RTX 50 as disappointing in notebooks as it is in desktops? What about the prices of new graphics cards a few weeks after market launch? Why doesn’t the nuclear case look good despite the “native” UHD resolution? And which main charts does the community use? Jan and Fabian provide answers to these and other questions in the podcast.
CB Radio: The Hundred and Wolves Episode
What performance and features does the GeForce RTX 50 bring with the Gaming Blackwell in notebooks as a laptop GPU? Jan and Wolfgang examined the RTX 5090 laptop GPU (test) and the RTX 5080 laptop GPU in detail and with a wide variety of GPU power profiles, and found that the two notebook solutions are similar to their desktop counterparts in name only. In the podcast, Jan reports the details of a stubborn Fabian.
The GeForce RTX 5070 is another favorite topic on the agenda. Three custom designs of the currently smallest Blackwell graphics card will compete against each other in the test, with volume under load being the deciding factor. Subsequently, the availability of these and all other “next-gen” graphics cards is once again an issue, especially given current market prices.
A new game was also included in the podcast: Jan and Fabian Gut Love on Still Pictures (review), but “native” UHD doesn’t want to be in motion despite the high performance. All this, and the results of the last Sunday question on your main charts, are available in the 112th episode of CB Radio. We hope you enjoy listening!
