Commandos: Origins, as Graphics Alley, is based on the latest version of Unreal Engine 5, but unlike other games that rely on these graphics alleys, the published system requirements are quite low. However, the information is limited to Full HD and maximum medium details.
Less detailed information than usual
With recent game releases and announcements about the hardware requirements for potential players’ computers, it became natural for extensive tables to be published. For Assassin’s Creed Shadows, for example, these tables contained three different resolutions and two different FPS targets, as well as additional columns for enabled ray tracing.
Kalypso Media has now only provided two different recommendations on the game’s FAQ website for Commandos: Origins. Once at low settings in full HD and once at medium settings in full HD. There is no information on accessible FPs. Higher resolutions such as 1440p or Ultra HD are missing, as is information for high or maximum graphics settings. An SSD is recommended as a hard drive; the amount of storage space required has not yet been revealed. The game demo requires approximately 22 gigabytes.
Real-time tactical gaming should be fine with low settings in Full HD with a GeForce GTX 970 (test) or Radeon RX 580 (test) as a graphics card, an Intel Core i5-4690K or AMD Ryzen 7 2700. Eight gigabytes of RAM should also be sufficient. Medium settings and Full HD are accepted for the recommended hardware. Here, 16 gigabytes of RAM and a GeForce RTX 3060 (test) or a Radeon RX 6600 XT (test) are required. An AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Core i7-9700 is recommended as a processor. DirectX 11 and Windows 10 as a 64-bit version are sufficient for both variants.
