For the 2025 RMe series, Corsair now 12V 2×6 connectors according to the ATX 3.1 standard natively on the connector panel. Depending on the output power of the power supply, a continuous power of 450 W (RM650e and RM750e) or 600 W (RM850e and RM1000e) can be provided.

The 650 watt version is new

At the same time, the series is supplemented by the new 650 W model, which with its housing depth of 140 mm also makes it suitable for compact installations without high-end components.

There is also a semi-passive control for the 120mm fan, which is supposed to make a little less noise according to Cybenetics Lambda A certification (RMe 2023: Lambda A-). The update also includes the RMx series “embossed” flat cables. All other features such as the seven-year warranty remain intact.

The HXi-2025 series retains Corsair’s conversion solution with 2x PCIe 8-pin to 12V 2×6 connector. For high-end 1200 and 1500 watt power supplies, two of these plugs are electrically coded for 600 W continuous power – for professional IT workloads, because SLI is no longer an issue with the RTX 5000 either.

For the series, Corsair also relies on flat cables with an “embossed” design, from which the expects greater flexibility and easier cable routing.

Other specifications of the 140mm semi-passive fan with FD bearings and the Cybenetics Platinum efficiency certification as well as the ten-year warranty remain unchanged. With this series, Corsair is clearly aimed at enthusiasts who need such high performance. Only the 2025 HX1200i and HX1500i are expected to appear in the second quarter – so the 1000W variant would be discontinued.

Prices and availability

The manufacturer has not yet announced prices during the presentation of the HXi series, but it should only be available in the second quarter. The RMe series, for its part, is now available at the recommended prices of 89.90 (650 W), 129.90 (750 W), 139.90 (850 W) and 174.90 euros (1,000 W).
