ASROCK has unveiled a black version of the Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend in Japan. The graphics card is expected to hit the market in early April. Instead of the white-gray color scheme, the front is designed in black and gray, and the backplate now appears dark.

According to the published images, there is another difference in the white version: the fan blades are no longer transparent, but black. This should allow the RGB lighting effects to be distributed across the three axial fans. Overall, the design is rather understated, but in terms of color, it fits better with dark builds. Apart from these optical differences, these are the same graphics card, revealing only the identical dimensions of 29.8 cm long, 13.1 cm wide, and 58 mm thick (2.9 slots) and the unchanged weight of 1,155 grams. As usual, power is supplied via two 8-pin connectors, and on the slot cover are three DisplayPort 2.1a ports and one HDMI 2.1b port. The NAVI-48 GPU (rDNA 4) of the Radeon RX 9070 XT (test) has 64 compute units, which translates to 4,096 FP32-ALUS. 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with 20 Gbps is connected via a 256-wide memory interface. The TDP is 304 watts.
In both color variants of the Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend, ASROCK does not exceed the factory specifications, so the GPU frequencies are 2,400 MHz (game clock) and 2,970 MHz (boost clock).
