Marketing stunt: Gigabyte has just launched the high-end Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE mainboard, and the has already set a world record for overclocking. With the mainboard, the Hicookie DDR5 Overclocker memory managed to overclock to 6375.8 MHz for the first time.

With the dual data rate bus, this effectively translates to 12,752 MHz, or DDR5-12752 in common usage. The new world record for GDR5 clock speed was achieved with V-Color Manta Xfinity RGB DDR5 RAM, which, like the CPU ( 9 285K), was cooled with liquid nitrogen. The recently released Gigabyte Tachyon Ice Z890 Aorus formed the basis.

Splave’s previous record was a slightly lower 6,367.5 MHz with nitrogen-cooled G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 on an ASROCK Z890 Taichi OCF.

The memory has now been officially validated. The clocks were more than just relaxed to 68-127-127-127-2, and the CPU, with only two cores, clocked around 420 MHz. Z890 AORUS TACHYON ICE

Even during the presentation of the new motherboard a few days ago, Gigabyte announced an OC result of DDR5-12726. This could now be improved again.

The white continental Z890 motherboard has high pre-upgrade specifications, which include the sophisticated with 18 + 1 + 2 phases. The divine MSI MEG Z890 even has 26 + 2 + 1 + 1 phases.
