Deepcool Assassin IV VC Vision: flagship cooler with screen cools up to 300 watts for 140 euros 64 comments
Following presentations at Computex and Gamescom, Deepcool is now launching its flagship Assassin IV VC Vision cooler. Priced at just under 140 euros, the dual-tower cooler cools processors with a TDP of up to 300 watts. To attract attention, it has a display on the front.
High-end cooler with screen
Compared to its predecessor, Assassin IV, the cooler now uses vapor chamber technology, which means that the maximum TDP to cool can be increased from 280 to 300 watts. The number of heat pipes remains unchanged at seven.
The same applies to design. The new Deepcool Assassin IV VC version also relies on the most closed image possible. For better RAM compatibility, there is another 120mm fan up front, while a 140mm model runs between the bladed towers. The fan also has a switch on the front that can be used to toggle between quiet mode and performance mode. Deepcool does not provide any details on the respective fan speeds. On the predecessor, the fans operated in silent mode in the speed range of 500 to 1450 rpm and 500 to 1350 rpm. In performance mode, the maximum values are increased to 1,800 and 1,700 rpm respectively. The fans continue to rely on a hydrodynamic plain bearing.
In addition to the slightly increased cooler height of 172 mm, the display on the front panel is probably the biggest visual innovation of the Assassin IV VC Vision. The cooler follows its smaller cooler brothers, which have been increasingly equipped with displays since CES 2023.

The removable display shows system parameters such as usage and temperature. It is connected to the motherboard via a USB connector and controlled via its own “DeepCreative” software.
From January 2025
The Deepcool Assassin IV VC Vision is expected to arrive at German retailers from January 2025. The recommended price is around 140 euros. The predecessor cost around 100 euros last year – the current retail price is even 100 to 115 euros. Deepcool offers a six-year warranty. In addition to thermal paste, the Deepcool Assassin IV VC Vision also comes with mounting hardware for Intel sockets: LGA1851, 1700, 1200, 115X, 20XX as well as AMD AM5 and AM4.
