Dell Pro Max Leak: (GeForce) RTX 5000 Laptop GPUs Also Imminent 41 comments
A leak from Asia has so far revealed presentations about the new “Dell Pro Max 18/16 Plus” workstation laptop that were not intended for the public. It not only offers new Intel Arrow Lake-HX laptop processors, but also (GeForce) RTX 5000 laptop GPUs.
It is now certain that Nvidia will present the GeForce RTX 5000 series at CES through CEO Jensen Huang himself. Typically, only desktop GPUs are discussed. User X Huang514613 has now drawn attention to information leaked on Chinese forum Weibo. They concern a previously unknown laptop model of the Dell Pro Max 16 or 18 type in Plus version.

New laptops powered by Arrow Lake-HX and RTX 5000 laptop GPUs
The new Arrow Lake-HX processors and graphics cards “up to RTX 5000” are promised as “highlights” for the mobile workstation. Arrow Lake-HX aka Core Ultra 200HX is already officially known. Ultimately, these are the same CPUs that are also available as Core Ultra 200S for LGA 1851 in the desktop, only on a solderable BGA package and with a lower TDP.

Blackwell-based Nvidia (GeForce) RTX 5000 laptop GPUs are still unconfirmed, however. However, showcasing Nvidia’s new mobile graphics cards at CES alongside Intel’s new mobile processors has recently become the norm. The previous two generations appeared at CES in 2022 and 2020 respectively.
However, media interest is currently focused on the expected presentation of Blackwell graphics cards for desktop PCs – an absolute novelty for CES. Ultimately, Nvidia should present the two series in parallel.
It’s not entirely clear whether these are mobile gaming graphics cards. The documents only mention “RTX 5000,” so this might ultimately only stick with mobile desktop solutions for now. However, given the expected abundance of new Arrow Lake laptops, this cannot be assumed.
Also with CAMM2 and tandem OLED
In addition to the new CPUs and GPUs, the Dell Pro Max will also feature LPDDR6 RAM in the new CAMM2 form factor and, as a “first mobile workstation”, a triple-fan design to deliver up to 200 (18-inch) or 170 watts (16 customs) TDP platform. Dell uses an OLED tandem for the screen and magnesium for the case.
