Dhahab Edition: Asus brings the golden version of the larger RTX 5090 111 comments

ASUS puts a visually very special and striking variant of its GeForce RTX 5090 Astral. The nearly 3 kg flagship graphics card with four fans is also available as a gold Dhahab edition. The pompous presentation with skyscrapers makes the rise economical in the Middle East.
A Golden Geforce RTX 5090 from Asus
On the product pages, Asus describes the ROG Astral Geforce RTX 5090 Dhahab OC Edition as a “tribute to the rapid development of the Middle East.” “Dhahab” (ذهب) means “gold” in Arabic and this can be found almost everywhere with this graphics card. The front and back as well as the slot cover are gold and even the radiator and turchons look like gold.
The silhouette of skyscrapers and a caravan can be identified on the back plate. Arabic symbols adorn the fodder. However, there is no real true gold at any time. On the contrary, technology is placed at the forefront, which has a massive cooler with four fans.
Price still unknown
What this special edition is expected to cost for the Middle East is not yet known. The UVP of the ASUS ROG ASTRAL GEFORCE RTX 5090 OC Normal Edition is already 2,949 euros. Due to the tight supply of the new Blackwell graphics cards from Nvidia, prices of almost 3,500 euros are already being called here and there.

The Asus Rog Geforce RTX 5090 Astral (OC) is a real monster: 3.8 slots wide, almost 35.5 centimeters long and 15 cm deep are an announcement. It’s also the weight of 2,871 grams. Four fans are installed. Three classics on the GPU side, one on the back – it sucks the air that the rear fan blows into the cooler below. The ROG Astral PCB is a classic, but significantly shorter than the graphics card, so the rear fans ran freely through the slats.

But the additional fan on the back was annoyed in the test and ensured that the perceived and measured volume of the ROG Astral in performance and in quiet bias was (very) significantly above the level of the Founders Edition.
