Dragon Age: The Veilguard: Create characters without buying the main game 79 comments

EA and BioWare have decided to separate themselves from the character editor integrated into the role-playing game Dragon Age: The Veilguard and offer it separately as free software. Since the characters created there can be taken over when purchasing the game later, additional players can potentially be recruited.

Alongside Patch 4 of the main game, the standalone version of Character Creator for Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released this year on Dragon Age Day 2024, which takes place every December 4th.
The official website of the character creator takes you to the download pages of the respective platform. The free program is available on all platforms, including PC and game consoles.
The characters created here should then be able to be adopted in the game, but this is limited to the respective platform. There is no time limit for creating the individual hero, it is assured.
Even if it is only the character editor, the download is around 14 GB. This also shows the weight of this game element of the new Dragon Age in terms of file size.
Alongside Patch 4 later today, we’re excited to release a free standalone version of Character Creator on all platforms! For those who haven’t yet jumped into Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can now create a Tower before purchasing the full game and transfer your character, provided you are on the same platform*. There is no time limit for the character creator; we know that creating the perfect protagonist can take hours.
