Elden Ring Nightreign, the “co-op souls” based on Elden Ring, will also run on slower or much older gaming PCs when it launches on May 30th. This reveals the system requirements, which show that the CPU tends to be more demanding than the GPU.
DirectX 12 must be
Ultimately, the only difficult requirement is a system that is proficient with DirectX 12—that is, at least a computer with Windows 10 (or Linux with Valve Proton). However, according to the official system requirements, there is little pressure on the GPU and CPU. Even the recommended specs for a gaming PC for Elden Ring Nightreign only call for a Core i5-11500 or Ryzen 5 5600 as a processor and an even older GeForce GTX 1070 and RX Vega 56 8GB.

However, it remains to be seen whether this is truly sufficient in the end to play the game with high details in resolutions above FHD.
This is how Nightreign plays
In Nightreign, up to three players will be dangerous on a dark night, which changes every day and presents a new threat. The climax of each night is supposed to be a boss fight. Players are therefore simply sent on different raids, like in a roguelike. From the software point of view, the “core design” of Elden Ring aims to reinvent itself.
Release Date and Price
It launches on May 30, 2025, on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The price reveals that NightTreign is intended as an offshoot: pre-orders are available for around €40 for the standard version and around €55 for a deluxe edition with an artbook, soundtrack, and as-yet-unknown DLC to an unknown extent.
