NZXT needed a little, but now also offers analog and adjustable buttons. The Elite Minitkl feature relies on stronger magnets which are said to provide more precision, as well as a mini size and a full range of functions.

The layout reveals the name: “TKL” announces all buttons minus the number block, “mini” they are pushed together to save space. The uses the analog room effect button to detect the , which should improve the speed and accuracy of detection with stronger magnets. The Elite MinitKL function input is polled with a polling rate of 8000 Hz.

With the new analog buttons, NZXT finally offers fully adjustable buttons, which can trigger between 0.6 and 4 millimeters of hub. While other manufacturers have long pioneered the new technology, the company’s Function 2 TKL (test) initially relies on a hybrid solution with optical buttons that could recognize two signal points. The “magnetic switches” have been coated and have an initial resistance of 30 grams. At this point, they are comparable to common solutions.

Additionally, NZXT offers the full spectrum of analog technology possibilities at the start. The magnetic switches can determine when they trigger, but also offer quick trigger, dual key assignment and instant tap or quick tap, which means “Override Snap” in NZXT. In the coming weeks, the editorial team will take a close look at how the buttons and do it.

This describes what happens: If two previously defined keys are pressed at the same time, the last triggered one takes priority. This allows faster changes of direction in competitive shooters even without practice. has therefore already banned the use of these features in the counter. The keyboard and button can be programmed via the NZXTS CAM system software.

The case is made of a mixture of plastic for the bottom and aluminum for the top. For the PCB, the keyboard places on a gas ket support, which cushions attacks, a foam layer sits under the board. What material is used is not known. In addition, the keyboard is supplied with a “tape mod” that makes the attacks a little richer. Stabilizers are also screwed on.

The Function Elite Minitkl should now be available in black and white for a recommended retail of around 200 euros.

The editorial team received information about the Elite MinitKL feature and a loaner copy of the keyboard from NZXT under NDA. The only requirement was the earliest possible release time.
