This week, the Epic Games store has donated a puzzle adventure with Chuchel, in which two balls of wool try to obtain delicious cherries. As usual, the game can be added to your library for free for seven days, that is, until May 1, 2025 at 5 p.m.
The furry creatures are hungry for cherries
Like the last free game Botanicula, Chuchel also comes from the pen of Czech developer studio Amanita Design. Chuchel, which means “ball of hair and dust,” is a one-off adventure in which the player must solve numerous puzzles and riddles. The story revolves around the protagonists Chuchel and Kekel. The two rivals are trying to obtain delicious cherries. However, the player doesn’t control the spherical creatures, but changes the environment so that the balls can reach the cherries.
Like other Amanita Design games, Chuchel has won a variety of awards, such as “Best Game for Children” (Anifilm 2018), “Best Art” (Big Festival 2018), and “Best Indie” (Google Play Best of 2019). The game’s music is also highly regarded. On Steam, the player rates the game as “very positive.” The situation is similar with the Metacore score of 81/100. The game regularly costs around 10 euros.
