Freezer 8A & 8i (CO): Four new CPU coolers from the Arctic Start range at 18.99 euros 60 comments

With the Freezer 8 series, Arctic has released four new CPU coolers in the 19 to 21 euro price range. They follow the Freezer 7 X from 2020, which in turn inherited the Freezer 7 Pro from 2010. The Freezer 8a supports AM4 and AM5, the Freezer 8i supports LGA 1700 and LGA 1851. There are also permanent load variants. Arctic Freezer 8: Four CPU-Kühler AB 18.99 Euro
Both variants are available with single and double ball-mounted fans “for continuous operation” (CO, continuous operation), the price difference being one euro.
With your RRP, you can undercut the predecessor Arctic Freezer 7 times right from the start, but only because this variant has gone from 16 euros to just under 24 euros since the beginning of April. Also with the slightly larger Arctic Freezer 11 and 13, which now cost over 30 euros, the price gap this time is more than five years away from the introduction of the 7X Freezer.

At just 136 mm, the new Freezer 8 is three millimeters taller than the previous freezer and also slightly lower. The number of aluminum slats has been increased by two to 46. From now on, the fan is 100 mm and 92 mm in diameter and reaches 2,300 rpm instead of 2,000. The two heat exchangers with direct contact remain.
